Infoblox Inc. today announced the Company’s Executive Vice President of Product Strategy and Corporate Development, Steve Nye, will participate in the 2011 Pacific Crest Emerging Technology Summit, which explores how new advancements in technologies are changing businesses across industries. Nye is scheduled to participate in a panel at 1:30 p.m. and present at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
He will present on the growing need and business value of emerging network infrastructure automation and control solutions – of which adoption is growing exponentially, demonstrated by Infoblox’s customer count of more 4,600, including more than 200 of the Global 500.
Nye commented, “Many IT departments have spent the last decade helping automate functions for other departments, but the tides have turned and it’s time for IT to take a closer look at their own systems and processes. This is especially critical now as new pressures, such as the explosion of IP addresses, IPv6, virtualization and cloud initiatives, are driving the need for more automation to ensure the real-time demands of the users and the business are met. I look forward to exploring the business implications and advantages of the newest infrastructure automation and control technologies that can help IT teams achieve more dynamism and flexibility, giving their company a competitive edge.”
Infoblox pioneered development of appliance-based and integrated domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP) and management (IPAM) solutions. In the past year, Infoblox acquired network change and configuration (NCCM) capabilities. The combination of the Company’s leading DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NCCM and unique Grid technologies will provide state-of-the-art functionality that gives enterprises more visibility, control and automation across their network infrastructures.
