Infoblox Automated IPAM Delivers 70% Labor Savings

Infoblox is Only IPAM Vendor Certified to Provide Savings of This Magnitude While Increasing Network Reliability and Scalability

Infoblox Inc. today announced that the Tolly Group, the highly respected premier independent test lab for the networking industry, has certified that the Infoblox IPAM solution offers enterprise IT organizations labor savings of more than 70 percent while increasing network reliability and scalability.

The side-by-side analysis by the Tolly Group of Infoblox’s DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) solution and conventional Microsoft DNS and DHCP products reveals that Infoblox can provide:

  • A pay-back period in as little as 3-6 months;
  • A return on investment (ROI) of $60,000 – $500,000, depending on company size; and,
  • 70% savings in labor with significant reliability and scalability advantages.

The analysis also revealed that enterprises maintaining a DNS and DHCP service infrastructure from Microsoft have longer term risks in addition to rising operational costs. They jeopardize network availability, especially as they migrate to new technologies like virtualization and IPv6 due to increased complexity and probability of human-related errors.

The report states: “The Infoblox IPAM solution can mitigate these risks by reducing and removing human errors related to complex IPv6 addressing and maintenance of virtual machine address pools.”

Kevin Tolly, founder of The Tolly Group, commented: “Our testing shows that the Infoblox IPAM solution offers a significant ROI advantage over status quo solutions, justifying the purchase for enterprise IT teams not just based on labor savings, but also on the ability of the platform to lay a foundation for a more reliable and scalable network. This is especially important as enterprises extend their virtual and cloud applications, manage their IPv4 networks, and prepare for the transition to IPv6, which brings added complexity and risks.”

Underscored by Infoblox’s exceptional customer list, which includes more than one third of the Fortune 500, the Tolly Group report is the latest in a series of market leadership recognitions for Infoblox ranging from Infoblox receiving the highest “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s 2011 MarketScope for DDI products and notable placement on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies to the Company’s ranking as one of Silicon Valley’s fastest growing companies by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal in its “Fast Private” list.
