Infoblox Appoints Thorsten Freitag as Senior Vice President of Global Sales

Infoblox Inc. (NYSE: BLOX) today announced Thorsten Freitag has joined Infoblox as senior vice president of global sales, effective immediately. Freitag is responsible for managing regional sales teams in the Americas, Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia Pacific, as well as the global service provider and channel sales teams.

Freitag joins Infoblox from F5 Networks, where he was senior vice president for EMEA, based in Germany. Prior to F5 Networks, Freitag held senior sales management positions at Cisco Systems, Siemens Enterprise Communications and other technology companies in Germany, South Korea and South Africa. Throughout his career, Freitag has focused on strategic planning, change management and building high-performance teams.

“We are very fortunate to add someone of Thorsten’s caliber to help drive our expanding sales efforts,” said Chris Andrews, executive vice president of worldwide field operations at Infoblox. “Thorsten has the skills and vision to focus on quarterly targets while at the same time building a foundation for long-term growth. With his extensive international experience, Thorsten is also uniquely qualified to expand Infoblox sales outside the United States.”

“I’m excited by the opportunity to take a successful, experienced sales team to the next level,” said Freitag. “The many changes that are reshaping enterprise networks today – including virtualization, mobility and cloud – open up new opportunities for Infoblox in every vertical and in every geography.”

Freitag is the process of relocating from Germany to Infoblox headquarters in California’s Silicon Valley.
