Infoblox Appoints Atul Garg as Executive Vice President of Engineering

Infoblox Inc. (NYSE:BLOX), the network control company, today announced that Atul Garg has joined Infoblox as executive vice president of engineering, effective immediately. Garg is responsible for managing the worldwide engineering, manufacturing operations, and quality assurance organizations.

Garg joins Infoblox from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was vice president and general manager of Cloud and Automation at HP Software. Previously, Garg was vice president of global research and development for infrastructure, cloud, and application management at BMC Software. Garg came to BMC after the predictive analytics company he founded—ProactiveNet—was acquired by BMC. Earlier in his career, Garg held engineering leadership positions at TCSI, Bay Networks/Nortel, and Hewlett-Packard.

Combining technical, management, and entrepreneurial skills, he has developed world-class teams that have transformed product lines in cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure management and delivered differentiation and long-term revenue growth. Garg holds six foundational patents in analytics and behavior learning.

“Atul has a track record of innovation and building disruptive products,” said Jesper Andersen, president and chief executive officer of Infoblox. “Infoblox is well-positioned to continue our industry leadership in DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) with Atul heading our engineering team, while continuing to grow in emerging categories such as DNS security and cloud analytics.”

“This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that has the energy of a start-up combined with great vision, industry leadership, and technical depth,” said Garg. “Infoblox provides core network services that are mission-critical for thousands of enterprise and service-provider customers globally, is well positioned in emerging growth areas, and is backed by an engineering organization regularly delivering next-generation solutions that redefine the category.”
