This work leveraged DNS fingerprints, reverse engineering, and good old-fashioned investigation skills to tie online crimes to physical world ones unveiling layers of deception. Renée Burton

Vice President of Threat Intelligence, Infoblox

Dr. Renée Burton is the head of threat intelligence at Infoblox. She spent 22 years at the National Security Agency (NSA) in various roles related to intelligence and data science before joining Infoblox in 2018. Renée manages a global team of researchers who provide the DNS intelligence content for the Infoblox security products.

Maël Le Touz

Senior Threat Researcher, Infoblox

After studying financial crimes and money laundering, Maël has pivoted to cybersecurity and earned a master’s degree from IE in 2018. He briefly worked as a consultant before joining Infoblox as a threat researcher. Since then he has been involved in the tracking and unmasking of numerous DNS threat actors, including Decoy Dog and Prolific Puma.

Jacques Portal

Threat Researcher, Infoblox

Jacques studied for a BSc in Computer Science with a focus on Data Analysis and Cyber-Security; followed by an MS in Cyber-Security with a specialty in System Design and Analysis. He briefly worked as a security consultant before starting as a threat researcher for Infoblox in 2022. He mainly focuses on developing automated threat detection systems and data analysis.

Elena Puga is a Threat Researcher at Infoblox. As part of the Infoblox Threat Intel team, she uses her experience to gather the intelligence that fuels our products, enabling our customers to stay ahead of the ever-evolving threat landscape. She is a firm believer in the proactive approach encapsulated in the Threat Hunting motto: “In Threat Hunting, we stay proactive to stay ahead. Anticipate threats before they impact.”. She has a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and a Master's degree in Cybersecurity.
