Net-Zero Emissions Commitment
Achieving Net-Zero emissions by 2050
Climate change is widely recognized as one of the most significant economic and social challenges facing the world today, driven by the continued emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs) that warm the earth. Warming from human activities from the pre-industrial period, could lead to catastrophic consequences. To avoid the worst impacts of climate change, nearly 200 countries signed the Paris Agreement in 2015— aiming to hold the increase in the global average temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. To achieve the temperature goal, global GHG emissions must be reduced to net zero by 2050.
Infoblox supports the goal of the Paris Agreement and aims to reduce its emissions in alignment with a net zero pathway to reduce emissions to net zero by 2050 or sooner. This reduction goal is additionally supported through Infoblox’s signing of the Vista Climate Pledge. To stay on track with a net zero reduction of our emissions by 2050, we are committed to cutting our 2019 baseline emissions of 7,083 tCO2e in half by the year 2030. In order to meet this ambitious goal, we will measure our GHG footprint on an annual basis. We are in the process of developing action plans to change business practices that will significantly lower our GHG footprint. We plan to share our measurement results and reduction activities in our future ESG reporting.
Transparency and Reporting
Infoblox plans to report on its ESG approach and performance each year. Beginning in 2024, our ESG report will be publicly available on our website. We will communicate updates on the progress on our ESG journey and continue to develop best-practice processes to meet our goals.
This policy is subject to change and is intended to be reviewed annually by the Executive Committee. Further, this policy shall supersede and replace any prior Infoblox ESG policy and shall cover on a going forward basis, subject to the limitations discussed herein.
